About

Relaxing Rats was founded, when, as a new rat-owner, I purchased my first set of hammocks and tunnels. Eventually, my rats destroyed their tunnel and I decided to throw one together. It wasn't perfect, but it worked and they liked it! Since then, I have spent time creating, sewing and testing different products on my girls and continue to do so.

My hammocks and tunnels consist of two layers - the outside a durable cotton and the inside, a cozy 100% cotton flannel. I use cotton fabric, as it is safe for rats to ingest. All our products are machine washable/dryable.
